Bailey Glace is a superb 18th Century Grade II listed traditional farmhouse set in 3 acres of the breath taking Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its stunning location offers uninterrupted views, privacy and tranquillity, yet is only 20 mins from the Celtic Manor Resort, 5 miles from the historic market town of Monmouth and 30 mins from the M4 Severn Bridge. This historical property was completely and sympathetically refurbished in 2007, with the help of CADW and retains all its original features including, beams, open fireplaces and slate floors. There are 4 large bedrooms, each offering beautiful views of the countryside, original beamed ceilings, wooden floors, antique furniture and bespoke Elanbach soft furnishings. Accommodation comprises 2 king size en suites, 1 twin and 1 double bedroom, 1 large family bathroom and 2 downstairs cloakrooms. There are also 2 double sofa beds and 2 extra single beds available. The significant kitchen/diner used to be a cider-pressing mill, using apples from our orchard! It is 4.5 metre x 5 metres and features granite worktops, a range cooker, an American fridge freezer, a drinks chiller and a large oak table that seats 8 comfortably. It is a great space for long suppers and happy gatherings. There is a laundry/utility and boot room that leads off the kitchen that has plenty of storage space for muddy shoes, pets and clubs! There are 2 further reception rooms, one with an open fire and one with a log burner. These are both laid out as lounges. We have broadband and Sky satellite connection throughout and 3 flat-screen TVs. There are phone and aerial points in every room. Bailey Glace has plenty of outside space for you to relax in and enjoy, as well as parking for numerous cars: a private sunny courtyard, with an ancient well; a south-facing walled barbeque area; a large natural pond that attracts much wildlife (and has some fish in it that the heron hasn't taken yet!); a west-facing patio to watch the sun set over Sugar Loaf mountain and, of course, the 2 acre fruit orchard, where some of the trees are 80 years old! There is a country pub within walking distance of Bailey Glace and numerous golf courses, including Raglan Park and The Rolls Estate. In addition to our beautiful family home, we are happy to offer airport pick up / drop off and a maid service. A 15% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking and payment to be made in full by the end of May 2010.
